Abstract
O enigma da Arte de Furtar O Presente artigo não visa a trazer dados novos que possam contribuir para melhor dilucidar a questão da autoria de tão famoso livro. Pretende apenas apresentar clara e sucinta exposição do problema, acompanhada naturalmente de algumas reflexões críticas a respeito do que já se tem feito. A 1. ª edição traz a data de 1652 (em algarismos arábicos) e as indicações de que o local da impressão é Amsterdam, na oficina Elvizeriana.
