Diretrizes gerais para a elaboração de uma gramática descritiva
Abstract
Tem-se insistido muito, atualmente, na necessidade da revisão de alguns prin¬cípios da gramática tradicional, com vistas à elaboração de wna gramática mais mo¬derna e científica (1). Sem dúvida, trata-se de preocupação oportuna e saudável, levan¬do-se em conta o grande avanço da lingüística moderna, a cujas conquistas não pode¬mos mais permanecer indiferentes. Entretanto, cremos que certas questões básicas pairam acima de preocupações mais ligadas à fidelidade a certos "ismos" do momen¬to, e é nessas questões que pretendemos concentrar-nos na presente exposição.
