Serafim Pereira da Silva Neto nasceu em 6 de junho de 1917 nesta cidade do Rio de Janeiro, onde veio a falecer em 23 de setembro de 1960. Casou-se com D. Cremilda Carvalho da Silva, e, dessa união, houveram dois filhos: David - Davizinho, como sempre carinhosamente o chamava - e Carmen Lúcia. O menino David faleceu num acidente e esse doloroso episódio marcou-lhe profundamente o espírito, como é fácil compreender. [...]
