Abstract
As Publicações Dom Quixote, de Lisboa, tiveram a feliz idéia de incluir na sua coleção Portugal de Perto a reunião dos trabalhos de natureza etnográfica de F. Adolfo Coelho sob o título Obra etnográfica, cujo primeiro volume saiu em 1993, com o subtítulo Festas, costumes e outros materiais para uma Etnologia de Portugal (748 páginas), com organização e importante prefácio de João Leal. Este volume compõe-se de uma nota prévia e um substancioso prefácio do organizador, em que traça o perfil intelectual desse mestre que foi Adolfo Coelho e a importância de suas investigações no campo da etnologia de Portugal.
