Abstract

This research, inserted in the realm of Applied Linguistics, focuses on the connections between discourse genres and mother-tongue teaching. Grounded on Mikhail Bakhtin’s theoretical cartography and motivated by the emergence of Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais Língua Portuguesa (National Curricula Parameters for Portuguese Language), the present article proposes a workshop on reading, interpreting and producing manifold discourse genres, addressed to Portuguese language teachers.
