The aim of this paper is to trace the route of Applied Linguistics Brazilian historiography, showing the speeches from the historiographical paths that caused the emergency area, Applied linguistics, who now call LA, its interaction with other fields of knowledge, its relevance to the development of applied research in the context of Brazilian education.
