Representação do objeto direto correferencial no português do Brasil
um fato em variação
Keywords:
representation of the direct object, linguistic variation, clitic disappearanceAbstract
This paper outlines a retrospective of the works on the anaphoric third person direct object, especially variationist studies, three of which were guided by the author of this article. The first research examined the representation of the OD in the oral language of fishermen in northern Rio de Janeiro; the second was based on essays produced by high school students of Niterói - RJ, and the third examined this variable fact in samples of spoken and written language produced by students from Rio. The analysis demonstrates the disappearance of the clitic direct object in oral form of the Portuguese in Brazil.
