Abstract

This study aims to analyse morphophonological processes triggered by verbal inflection in the forms of the indicative past tense of to be verb, that is, processes that alter the shape of morphemes and generate allomorphs at various levels in the XII-XIII centuries Archaic Portuguese (AP). The main goal is to show whether the imperative morphological structure in PA already worked as an independent mood or not.
