A historiografia da linguística
objeto, objetivos, organização
Abstract
This article, intended as a contribution to the metahistoriography of linguistics, discusses the object and the fundamental goals of linguistic historiography, defined as an interdisciplinary field within the history(-writing) of science and the history of ideas. The article presents an organogram of linguistic historiography, an overview of the three constitutive dimensions (heuristic, hermeneutic, expository) of linguistic historiography, and a systematic survey of the conceptual tools which the historiographer of linguistics has at his disposal.
