Abstract
Sr. Redator, A animosidade do Presidente Fernando Henrique Cardoso para com a classe média já era notória. Mas agora, com a sua afirmação explícita de que "Os privilégios estão na classe média e na classe média alta" (frase selecionada pelo JB, secção O que eles dizem, ed. de 18 de maio último), tomou-se patente. Proferida pela mais alta autoridade da Republica, soa como acusação, que expõe digna e respeitável parcela do povo brasileiro a um sentimento de repulsa da parte daqueles que tanto sofrem com o desemprego, o subsalário, a falta de assistência social e individual.
